Humility and Appreciation - Prakash Dangi

Humility is the most important in our behaviour. It means humble behaviour. If anyone has more qualities but if he doesn't possess humility in his behaviour then the quality of the person will be negligible. You cannot win the heart of anybody and cannot live peacefully in life. Daily we meet a large number of people, they show us humility in behaviour, and those people easily complete any work successfully. Humility is the most important value for the school environment because without humility we cannot build a healthy environment in school. It is necessary for good relations between teacher and student. I will give an example that the trees full of fruits always face downward to the earth. This shows humble behaviour and people like it.

Humility is important for our growth. If Gandhi is an example of what a humble leader can accomplish, then society serves to benefit from this kind of governance. We take another example of Sachin Tendulkar. He is one great cricket player the world respects and admires. He holds so many world records. Yet he has remained a humble person in spite of his international achievements. As students, we need to remember that we should exhibit humility to learn. Only when we have humility will we have the courage to ask the teacher again and again till we are satisfied that we have understood. The word “Appreciation” looks smaller from outside but it can help achieve anything if used properly. This word is the most powerful word for motivating someone. If someone gets appreciated for a certain task then that person always gives the best in all further tasks. This word is motivational, carrying a huge power inside and can turn negative thoughts into positive. Many organizations and schools are known for their culture of appreciation. This is the main reason behind the happiness of their employees. Appreciation can increase the inner power of anyone. Everyone in this world loves to receive appreciation for their tasks. If someone has done something for you then saying thank you is a formality. But if you provide motivational words like “good work”, “keep it up” or “excellent” along with the thank you then next time that person works with twice the energy. As same in school when the student completes his work on time and teachers motivate the students by saying " good work" or " wonderful " or "excellent" along with thanking you then next time that student work with twice the energy. Even not only students but teachers also want appreciation from their seniors and principal. It is not only limited to workplaces but it can be used anywhere. Therefore it is necessary to appreciate a person whenever possible. It is a good way to make things easier and simpler. If appreciation is used properly, benefits are assured.
